Literature Analysis Responce

Part One:
The plot of my novel takes place during a war and in a prison called slaughter house five. Its about a man who lives his life in this prison during a war in Eastern Germany where he survived this bombing of World War II. The ending is Billy and the rest of his group was locked up and one morning Billy woke up and it was unlocked. Billy went out to wonder and the war was over there was no one, no cars, no people or anything just one abandoned wagon.

Part Two:
I think the main theme of this novel is War. This novel shows us how bad war can be. It focuses in on a couple of people and how bombing of the wars and just wars in general effects the lives of people personally.

Part Three:
I think the protagonist is a flat character because even though he does change a little through out the book he never really shows a happy side. He never changes from the way he is to a different way. Another major character in this book would be Billy because his pligrims get bombed.

Part Four:
I think a significant saying out of the book would be in the ending when it says, " World War II In Europe was over." I think I think this is not only significant to just one character or just one theme of the novel but to all of them. The characters in this novel haven't felt what it was like to be free from the war. So when this quote is said in the book it signify's a great change that is soon to come and all the other characters can live freely from this war which will drastically change their lives.

Part Five:
I chose this book for two reasons. One because it has a war like setting and I like that type of stuff in books and two, Im not going to lie, is because it was a smaller book and I have a hard time with reading. What appealed to me was the war like setting like i stated earlier. I just like knowing what happened back then and how the wars were. It came to my attention from Mr. Ostini because he said its a good book and itll fit me better instead of a bigger book. Like i said before what about the book that made me want to keep reading it was it giving me a general idea of how life was back then for certain people.

Part Six:
In the book Billy was locked up like i said before and then he woke up and the door was unlocked and he was free. I can connect this to my life because in this situation Billy is prevented from doing anything and some how he is free in my life this relates to me in many ways. For one, one time i got grounded and my said that i have to stay in my room all night but then after my nap i woke up and she said its fine that i dont have to stay in their anymore. Even though this is like nothing compared to Billy being locked up in prison but it shows me how it might have been for him.

Part Seven:
One Idea that i am going to take away from thier book it dont complain about what you dont have and be happy with what you do have. I say this because this book along with many other books like this has taught me that their are people in this world who has either had it worse than me. These people in this novel have been bombed, imprisoned, and sent to war while i have just been getting to much homework. This novel has taught me not to complain because i could have it worse.
